Dancing With The Stars pro Witney Carson & Carson McAllister tied the knot (and cut a rug, of course!) on New Year’s Day at NOAH’S Event Venue in Lindon, Utah! We are so excited to share all of the unforgettable details from their gorgeous three-part wedding in Utah as well as feature an exclusive interview with the stunning bride! “We initially wanted to get married in the spring, but it worked out best [with DWTS] to do it in the winter,” Witney told us. “We thought it would be fun to do on January 1st because it’s a new beginning, a new part of your life, a whole new start. We decided to do it in Utah because this is my home, this is where I grew up and we had the beautiful snow as a backdrop. So then we came up with the whimsical, romantic and rustic theme that seemed to match so well.” We hope you enjoy all of the amazing photos of the romantic and rustic Carson & McAllister wedding that were so beautifully captured by India Earl Photography!
Before the events of the big day, Witney and her bridesmaids spent a comfortable morning in the Bridal Suite at NOAH’S. “I was really relaxed that day—we didn’t have to worry about anything,” said Witney. “Alicia and the NOAH’S staff were totally on top of everything. We did our hair and makeup at NOAH’S beforehand and it was even more relaxing than I thought it would be.”
After hair and makeup, Witney give her bridesmaids a few thoughtful gifts, including personalized monogrammed clutches by GiGi New York. The groom also gave his groomsmen monogrammed wallets by GiGi New York.
Witney’s makeup was done by professional makeup artist Vivian Johnson (below).
Celebrity hair stylist Dean Banowetz gave Witney the unforgettable hairstyle she was looking for! Her hair and makeup were a perfect compliment to the rest of her wedding wardrobe!
THE WEDDING PARTY
Prior to the ring ceremony at NOAH’S, the wedding party went outside to find a winter wonderland backdrop for the bridal party photos. Dancing With The Stars’ Jenna Johnson, Lindsay Arnold, Brittany Cherry and Emma Slater were among Witney’s bridesmaids.
RING CEREMONY AT NOAH’S
We have never seen such a beautiful winter-themed wedding ceremony at NOAH’S! The candlelit ambiance and beautiful wintery backdrop were both whimsical and elegant and made for the perfect set-up for the ring ceremony.
Alfonso Ribeiro’s son, Alfonso Lincoln Ribeiro, Jr., was the ring bearer for their ceremony!
AJ (Alfonso Lincoln Ribeiro, Jr.) snuck a kiss after the groom!
The success of their big day was largely due to celebrity wedding planner Michael Russo. “Mikie is incredible. He is so creative,” said Witney. “He knew exactly what I wanted and he was going to make sure that that was what we had.”
DINNER & RECEPTION AT NOAH’S
Witney and her wedding planner did a wonderful job compiling a dream team of vendors, making the dinner and reception exceptionally special. “I loved that we could bring in all of our vendors—I really loved NOAH’S for that reason. We could pick our caterer, our flowers, we had our own choices,” said Witney.
The evening began with an exquisite buffet dinner served by State Street Feed & Supply Caterers. “The guests enjoyed prime rib, salmon and grilled chicken for dinner, and a delicious hot cobbler bar for dessert,” the Orem, Utah-based caterer said. After dinner, the NOAH’S team swiftly broke down the head table and the buffet to make room for the dance floor and the receiving line.
When we asked Witney about her favorite highlight of the night she said, “My brother Jaxon’s toast–he is on a mission [a 2-year LDS mission in France] so he couldn’t be there, but he wrote a toast that my cousin read while holding a big poster board cutout of my brother.” It was a meaningful moment for both Witney and her family!
Witney and Carson’s wedding cake selection, from Sugar Kisses Cakes, worked perfectly with their wedding theme! “We wanted everything at the wedding to be rustic, romantic and whimsical. For the cake, we wanted something simple that would fit the theme so we went with the new naked-style cake and cupcakes. The cake was really good too!” said Witney.
The cupcakes, also by Sugar Kisses Cakes were a huge hit with the guests! They served a wide assortment of flavors ranging from chocolate grasshopper to red velvet and coconut lime.
In case the cake and cupcakes weren’t enough to satisfy each guest’s sweet tooth, they had an amazingly cute and tasty hot chocolate bar at the reception! “We wanted to give people a homey and comfy feel,” Witney said. “My dad’s uncle made the backdrop years ago and they had it on their farm and it was great that NOAH’S allowed us to use that. The hot chocolate station was open at the beginning of the reception and people could come in, grab a hot cocoa, a cupcake and hot cobbler.” The hot chocolate and sweets bar was designed by Styled by Jenni. The sign was designed by Whipperberry and created by The Shabby Bride.
One of the keys to making Witney’s wedding vision come to life was getting the flowers just right! L Floral Studio did just that! “I wanted to be really involved with the flowers. The atmosphere, the mood, it all depends on the flowers. I wanted it to be whimsical and romantic, but not ‘Christmas-y.’ I wanted more greenery than flowers. We told our florist our ideas and she totally got it. We were so impressed. She brought everything and more,” said the bride.
Wedding invitations and printed goods were created especially for Witney and Carson by Ceci New York. We love how classically white and elegant they are–perfect for the white winter theme!
Witney & Carson take a minute to pose with Alfonso Ribeiro, her Dancing With The Stars Season 19 winning dance partner!
Witney said of Alfonso and his wife, “Alfonso and Angela are like my second family. They are always there for me. Chris Soules [Witney’s Season 20 DWTS partner, from The Bachelor] was going to come but unfortunately he couldn’t make it at the last minute.”
Witney’s mom, Jill, also expressed her gratitude for Witney & Carson’s friendship with the Ribeiro’s. “I always know that if I’m ever worried about Witney, all I would have to do is pick up the phone and call Alfonso and Angela in L.A. and they would be right there. They are amazing,” says Jill.
“Carson and I did our first dance to a slow song and then we jumped into a fun choreographed dance. That was one of our favorite parts of the night. The dance floor was packed. Nobody felt intimidated having some professional dancers there and all of our friends and family were on the dance floor the whole night,” said Witney.
To close out the evening, Witney & Carson said their goodbyes with a snowy send-off! As for their romantic honeymoon getaway, the couple spent a day at Disney World before heading to Exuma in the Bahamas where they spent a week at a Sandals Resort. “We had a blast—we got to go paddleboarding, sailing and we even swam with pigs!” Witney said.
We are so honored to have been part of such an amazing day and we are so happy for these two newlyweds!
THE NOAH’S STAFF
Witney and her family had glowing things to say about their experience at NOAH’S and their choice to use the company’s new Utah County location for the ring ceremony and reception. “[The staff] was awesome. It was so easy because of the staff at NOAH’S—we didn’t have to worry about anything,” said Witney. “On the day of the wedding, everything was always so perfectly in its place.”
The variety of rooms available at NOAH’S offered different backdrops for their ring ceremony, the reception and getting ready. They even turned one room into a kids’ room for the night! “The venue was beautiful. The [reception] room was the perfect size and we had a separate room for the ceremony. The kids also loved the Game Room—they could go in there and play games if they wanted during the reception,” said Witney.
Witney was the first daughter that her mom, Jill, sent down the aisle. But she’s already thinking about NOAH’S for future events. “I will have every single one of our family weddings at NOAH’S—it was the best experience ever. We loved it,” said Jill. “I can’t imagine a wedding going any better than how it went for us. I would be too scared to go anywhere other than NOAH’S because I’d be worried that we wouldn’t find somewhere as amazing!”
The day even exceeded Witney’s expectations. “We had such great help from everybody who was involved—all of our vendors, our planner, and the staff at NOAH’S,” she said. “Everybody was so caring and wanted it to be such a special day for us and it was more than I ever thought it would be.”
Witney’s stunning form-fitting gown was custom designed by Rivini designer Rita Vinieris. “It was the dress I had always dreamed of. I started with a picture that I loved and then we had a couple of meetings because the dress was custom made and custom designed. After it was made, Rivini sent it over to a store in Salt Lake City so I could try it on—my mom, my aunt and my sister came with. The dress was amazing. I didn’t want to take it off!” said Witney.
Witney and Carson opted to take bridal photos prior to all of the wedding festivities. They turned out beautifully!
